But, as she hits the muscle poses on stage in her posing bikini, very few could know that her female bodybuilding journey, every rep, every set, is down to the legacy of the mom she lost.
Christal, 28, and 154lbs of fabulous female muscle, is currently prepping for the British Championship. She flexes a pair of 15.5 inch biceps and, with a 48 inch chest and 26 inch waist, hits one of the most extraordinary lat spreads in the sport.
But she says she owes her bodybuilding success to her mom.
She told realfemalebodybuilding.com: “I love bodybuilding and it is my total passion but my mother is my ultimate motivation to carry on and succeed.
“When I was younger and my mom was still alive she told me to carry on bodybuilding and that I would go far, God love her.”
So she did.
And she has.
But while her mom may be her inspiration to grow and improve and compete Christal first got into bodybuilding to get over the shyness she felt about the way she looked.
She said: “I competed for the first time purely to get over the shyness of my own body.
“I thought I should throw myself in at the deep end and get on stage half naked to get over my shyness.
“So I did.
“And I have!”
Anyone looking at Christal's fabulously muscular and beautifully balanced physique today might find her shyness hard to believe.
But, as Christal says, her top quality female bodybuilder physique has taken 15 years of dedicated iron-pumping to build.
She adds: “Safe, slow and steady gains are the best. There's no rush, enjoy the journey!”

Favorite bodypart to train and why? LEGS! BECAUSE I JUST LOVE THAT SICKY FEELING…AND THE ‘OMG IM GOING TO WIDDLE MY PANTIES’ FEELING DURING HEAVY PRESSING HAHA
